This Past Summer Swim Season and What’s Next

Thank you for a great summer swim season!

Water safety is far too neglected. On average there are 10 fatal drownings per day in the US alone. Good job on doing your part and diving into water safety and skills with Swim With Coach Dana.

Let’s help others dive into water safety! Please share how much you enjoyed swim lessons:

What I've been up to

After the summer swim season, I crossed something big off my personal bucket list: I saw the sunset on Mount Kilimanjaro in September. I learned so much about our beautiful world and the people in it.

Our climb team was 14 strong with 7 different countries represented: France, Portugal, Russia, Germany, New Zealand, US, and Tanzania. We helped each other and we all made it to the top. Ages ranged from 17 years old to 60 (me being the 60).

There are no fall swim lessons, but there will be some winter lessons at Patterson Park (more information below).

Keep up with your water safety and skills with the Everything Water blog. The goal is to bring down that scary statistic mentioned above. I want to help parents eliminate fear by having the skills to help their children be safe in and around water. I want everyone of all ages to confident in the water. Another statistic: 99.9% of people can float, and we know that if you can float, you can swim, right?
